Application methods for Turkish citizenship — Investor Program
The Turkish Citizenship by Investment programme is a statutory route established by the Turkish government. Through a qualifying investment, foreign investors may apply for Turkish citizenship — with the right to live, work, run a business, and access education and healthcare in Turkey for the whole family. The most common method is the purchase of real estate worth at least $400,000, which can be let for rental income and resold after three years. Financial and business routes are also available. Our lawyers confirm which route fits your situation and file your application before the authorities.
- Residential or commercial property worth at least $400,000
- May be let for rental income, or resold after the 3-year holding period
- Several properties can be combined to meet the minimum threshold
- We verify the title deed, ownership history, and eligibility before purchase
- $500,000 deposit held in a Turkish bank for at least 3 years (BDDK-regulated)
- Or $500,000 in Turkish government bonds, held for 3 years
- Or $500,000 in a Capital Markets Board–regulated real estate investment fund, held for 3 years
- Establish a business employing at least 50 Turkish nationals
- Confirmed by the Ministry of Labour and Social Security
- Typically pursued by established businesses with an existing Turkish workforce

The process, step by step.
Six steps, from your first call to the government's decision. We take care of every document and every appointment for you.
Check If You Qualify
We look at your situation — your country, your family, and which route fits you best. No commitment at this point.
Choose Your Route
We help you pick the right route and set up the investment correctly, and confirm everything with the authorities before you commit.
Legal Checks
We check the investment carefully — the title deed, past owners, any debts on it, and that it qualifies. Nothing is bought until these checks pass.
Sign & File
We prepare and sign the contracts, handle the property transfer and bank steps, and file your citizenship application with the government.
Government Review
The Ministry of Interior reviews your application. We follow the progress and stay in contact with the authorities. The government decides how long this takes.
Citizenship Granted
When approved, the government grants citizenship by Presidential Decree. The authorities then issue Turkish passports for you and your family.
Common questions.
Have a question? Talk to our legal team directly.
How much do I need to invest?+
It depends on the route. Real estate starts at $400,000, kept for three years. Bank deposits, government bonds, and real estate funds each start at $500,000, also kept for three years. The job creation route needs at least 50 full-time Turkish employees.
How long does it take?+
Usually 6 to 8 months from start to finish. This includes the investment, the residence permit, preparing the application, and the government's review and decision. The Ministry of Interior decides how long the review takes, so times can vary.
Do I have to give up my current citizenship?+
No. Turkey allows dual citizenship, so you can keep your current passport. Some countries do not allow this, so please check your own country's rules. We can help you with this at the start.
Is my family included?+
Yes. Your husband or wife and children under 18 are included in the same application, with no extra investment. They get the same rights as you. Children over 18 need to apply separately.
Do I need to be in Turkey during the process?+
In most cases, no. With a signed power of attorney, we can represent you at government offices, the land registry, and notaries, and handle all the paperwork for you. You can come for certain steps if you wish, but it is not required.
